Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to CDA accounts, downloads and use of the Customizable Desktop Assistant software. Mandatory consumer rights are not removed by these terms.
Accounts
Keep account details accurate and protect your sign-in credentials. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless the law provides otherwise.
Software access
A valid purchase will provide a limited, personal, non-exclusive licence to use the purchased CDA edition subject to the software licence terms.
Updates
Updates released for a purchased edition are intended to appear through the official customer update area. Separately sold future products or editions may be treated separately.
Availability
Features can change as the product develops. Maintenance, security work and third-party service outages can temporarily affect availability.

Prohibited redistribution
Do not copy, leak, resell or redistribute CDA proprietary paid software or source code except where you have explicit permission or a legal right to do so.

Nothing here excludes rights, remedies or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Privacy Policy
CDA uses account information only for operating accounts, licensing, updates, support, security and legal obligations connected to the service.
Account data
Authentication can involve your email address, account identifier, session information and account status. Password handling is performed by the authentication provider rather than being stored as plain text by this website.
Product access
Purchase entitlement and release-access records may be associated with your account so private downloads can be shown to the correct customer.
Support
Information you voluntarily provide in support messages may be used to investigate and resolve your request.
Providers
Supabase currently provides website authentication, database and private release storage. A payment provider will be added later and will handle its own payment data under its terms.
Security
Reasonable technical controls are used, but no online service can promise absolute security. Sensitive service credentials are not intended to be exposed in public website code.

Refund Policy
Digital-content refund and cancellation rights depend on applicable law, the circumstances of the purchase and whether immediate digital supply has begun with any legally required consent.
Change of mind
Where lawful, ordinary change-of-mind refunds may not be available after digital supply begins when the required request and acknowledgement have been collected.
Faulty or misdescribed software
Rights relating to faulty, unusable or misdescribed digital content remain subject to applicable consumer law.

Where appropriate, support may first try troubleshooting, repair, an update or another reasonable solution.
Evidence
Reasonable information such as an order identifier, screenshots, video, error text or configuration details may be requested to investigate a problem.
Approved remedies
If a refund, price reduction or other remedy is due, it will be provided within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Payment reversals
Where lawful, access tied to a payment may be withdrawn if that payment is refunded, reversed or successfully disputed.
Software Licence
A purchase licenses the software; it does not transfer ownership of CDA proprietary code, branding or other intellectual property.
Personal licence
The licence is personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable unless the applicable purchase terms explicitly say otherwise.
No resale
Do not sell, sublicense or distribute paid CDA builds, installer files or proprietary code to other people without permission.
Third-party components
Third-party software included with CDA remains governed by its own licence terms and notices.
Updates
Installing an update may replace or modify earlier CDA files. Backups and rollback procedures may be provided where appropriate.
Account licensing
The desktop app is planned to verify product access through the same CDA account system before commercial release.
Termination
Access to proprietary paid distribution may be suspended for material licence breaches where lawful and appropriate.
Acceptable Use
CDA is designed to help users control their own computers and supported services. Use it lawfully and respect other people's rights and systems.
Your permissions
Only use desktop, account and automation features on systems and data you are authorised to access.
Safety
Do not rely on CDA as a guaranteed source of professional medical, legal, financial, emergency or safety-critical advice.
Abuse
Do not use CDA to intentionally damage systems, evade access controls, distribute malware or interfere with services you do not own or control.
Account security
Do not attempt to obtain another user's private downloads, sessions or account data without authorisation.
Service protection
Automated requests may be rate-limited or blocked when needed to protect the service and its users.
Changes
Acceptable-use rules may be updated as new CDA features are introduced, subject to applicable law.
Credits & Acknowledgements
CDA combines original project work with third-party tools and general inspiration from the wider science-fiction assistant genre.
Supabase
Provides website authentication, database and private release-storage infrastructure used by the CDA account platform.
OpenAI / ChatGPT
ChatGPT has been one of the development tools used for planning, research, debugging, code review and website drafting. This does not imply OpenAI ownership or endorsement of CDA.
Marvel acknowledgement
Some high-level science-fiction assistant and HUD ideas have been influenced by superhero and cinematic AI media. Marvel and related characters, names and marks belong to their respective owners. CDA is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Marvel Entertainment or The Walt Disney Company.
Original commercial identity
The commercial CDA product is intended to use its own name, branding, interface assets and commercially permitted voices rather than shipping under Marvel character or assistant branding.
Packaged dependencies
The final customer build should ship the licence and notice files required by the exact third-party packages included in that build.
